• ANXIETY or DEPRESSION often results from distortions of thought that result in biochemical changes.
• GROWING UP in life, we can’t help but develop distortions in our thought processes, leading to difficulty in dealing with life.
• ADDICTION (often starting in adolescence) magnifies the distortions.
Purpose of Therapy
• THERAPY and/or RECOVERY involves re-scripting distorted thoughts, learning to use emotions as tools (vs. reacting), balancing (use of boundaries and priorities), uncovering one’s blocks and transcending them and aligning with one’s own Spirituality or the way we truly can live.
• THERAPY is learning to relate to others free of distortions or assumptions.
• THERAPY enables one to take life on as it comes and to develop new outlooks and new behaviors.
I use DIFFERENT COUNSELING APPROACHES to explore YOUR AGENDA and develop ways of coping and being in the world.

I utilize various therapy techniques and theories of counseling to include object relations theory, archetypal, cognitive, behavioral, gestalt, and client centered approach.
I draw on how related to 12-step approach, to help you see distorted thinking and how past wounds contribute to current emotions, thoughts, and behavior.
• RE-SCRIPTING -
Re-scripting involves healing the wound thereby changing perspectives and thought patterns and releasing emotional energy resulting in better being able to live in the “here and now”.
• THERAPY-
Therapy involves building on strengths and getting PAST BLOCKS (the way we sabotage ourselves); i.e. “I saw in the mirror and I am my worst enemy”.
• Learn how to pay attention to emotions and respond appropriately (and not just react). Improve your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
• Spirituality
Spirituality is finding your way to be open to your Higher Power and True Self. As we remove blocks, false scripts, distortions we are able to be our True Self, see others as they are, and be in Conscious Contact with Your Higher Power. Therapy helps. I am sensitive to your conception of God or Spiritual Outlook.
